ASITA 2026

Welcome to ASITA 2026!

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, June 7th–10th, 2026

The University of Saskatchewan, Department of Soil Science; the McDonnell Hillslope Hydrology Lab, managed by Kim Janzen; and Dr. Geoff Koehler of Environment and Climate Change Canada are pleased to host the Advances in Stable Isotope Techniques and Applications (ASITA) Conference in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, from June 7th–10th, 2026. Conference talks will be held at the University of Saskatchewan.

The focus of the conference continues to be on methodological advancements, technical challenges, and novel applications of stable isotopes. ASITA has a strong reputation as an informal forum for discussing and solving technical challenges, and we are looking forward to another great meeting!

The conference will begin on Sunday with a day of short courses and conclude the day with an Icebreaker event at the University Club, sponsored by IsoSpark.

The main conference, running from Monday to Wednesday, will feature oral and poster presentations, as well as one keynote speaker. Instrument users and vendors are encouraged to participate and present their work related to new techniques or applications of stable isotopes. There will be many opportunities for networking at the Icebreaker, Pub Night (sponsored by Elementar), the Banquet (sponsored by Isomass), and during Lunches and Breaks.

Lab tours of the Soil Science Stable Isotope Lab, the McDonnell Hillslope Hydrology Lab, and the National Hydrology Research Centre Stable Isotope Lab will be arranged for Wednesday afternoon and will conclude the conference.
